1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide the Chat-Based Expense Manager service. When you authenticate using Google or Slack, we receive basic profile information (such as your email address and name). We also request specific permissions (OAuth tokens) to read and write to your Google Sheets and to interact with your Slack workspace.
2. How We Use Your Information
The core functionality of our service is to process your chat messages and log them as expenses. To do this, we use the permissions you grant us to analyze your input and write the resulting data directly into a Google Sheet owned by you. We use your authentication data solely to identify your account and route your expense data to the correct spreadsheet. We do not use your data for advertising, nor do we sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
Our application architecture is designed so that your actual expense data is stored in your own Google Sheet, which acts as the system of record. We store minimal tenant metadata, such as authentication tokens and configuration settings, securely in our database (Google Cloud Firestore). Your data is processed securely through our infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Run.
4. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. All communication between our services, Google APIs, and Slack is encrypted in transit using standard security protocols.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to revoke our access to your Google or Slack accounts at any time through their respective security settings. Because your expense data is stored in your own Google Sheet, you retain full ownership and control over that data and can delete it directly.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
